When I read this it made me think... I bought a house that was being built and I walked in to the flooring store and was told to pick out the carpet, tile, and Lanolium for my new house. Without looking back to truly thinking I picked BLUE carpet and I do mean BLUE (dark) and pink (light) Tile and Lanolium with blue and pink stripe lines (faint color). So many people asked "Why".. Why BLUE carpet, Why PINK tile. And I just simply answered 'I liked the color!' I bought a RED couch to go with it.. and Green curtains.
I still love the colors in my home and I never have regretted the choices.
Your artical has given me something to think about. Those decisions I have spent the MOST time on have lingered on my mind, while those that came from the heart and spontinaity have never troubled me since. I intend to spend less time contemplating and more time doing.

Thanks
Good advice Carol! I tend to let "worry" run my world....my children and friends tease me about it, but it's not a very good trademark to have. I can't seem to turn it off sometimes. Your article really made me do some extra thinking and I am going to make it my mission to follow your suggestions. I am a very positive person but worry about everybody, and everything. It's crazy, and uncalled for sometimes! During my career a heard numerous excellent motivational speakers....what I considered the best! However, through absorbing your words at WW and these articles....YOU are the best! Thank you for being YOU!

Thank you, Carol, for this insightful read. It is in the beginning of a journey that many fail to take that first step, perhaps fearing the consequence of their commitment. However, we must remember that in each adventure we undertake, we often need to make adjustments to realize our intended outcome.

Your article makes me think of two things. One is, that it is so important to entertain our sense of play and investigate our inner self. The atmosphere of play helps us lighten up and investigate what otherwise is often set perceptions about ourselves.
The other thought I had was that this one pocket is only one little part of the whole fabric of who we are and there is lots more to discover and examine! This can be a whole lot of fun despite the work, especially with the help of a coach like yourself. Wow!
Donna Colter
www.reachthetopcoaching.com

Carol,
You Rock!! How wonder-full, creative and rich. It makes me want to be a better person just reading it, now if I can listen to my inner-dreamer and start cultivating it. Thank you for your dream! Bonnie

Hi Carol,

Very well done. This will make every person who reads it think more highly of himself/herself. And adding play is a most important ingredient. I frequently forget to add play in each and every week.

Dr. Sidney Simon in his book Getting Unstuck compares us with being born with high self-esteem but people have wrecking balls to tear us down.

This blog will go far to re-establish that high self-esteem.

Al
